For a very well-known company in Alexandria, a "Head of Operations" is urgently needed.
Job Description:
Key Job Responsibilities/ Duties:
1) Establish and review key operational risk indicators/ key control standards and formulate action plans to minimize the company’s exposure to fraud and losses.
2) Manage the company’s operational risk exposure by supporting the business to identify areas of operational risk exposure and by developing and implementing corrective action.
3) Design, develop, and keep updated the company’s Operation Manual and ensure compliance with all operational guidelines, processes, and procedures.
4) Responsible for re-engineering business processes to improve cost-effectiveness and controls.
5) Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relating to the Company Operations.
6) Ensure that effective documentation is in place, in the form of user guides, and implement operational improvements to reduce operational costs, tighten controls, and improve service quality and customer service.
7) Manage the Company operations department (staff and budget).
8) Ensure that all financial data is accurate and free of any discrepancies.
Qualification & Experience:
1)Minimum of a degree (banking, finance, or related area).
2) Post Graduate Degree (MBA desirable).
3) Project Management Certification.
4) Minimum of 8 years experience in operations with at least 5 years in a senior role in operations management within the banking sector.
Knowledge and Technical Competencies:
1) Ability to develop an operation manual and to see to its implementation.
2) Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational plans and actions.
3) Detailed understanding of operational risk analysis.
4) Knowledge of treasury operations and trade finance.
